About Tony
Tony's interest in photography began back in high school (if not before) with his work on the Coquille High Yearbook (you'll find one of his nature images as the cover on his graduation year's book). His interest jumped ahead a few notches when he started taking photography classes at Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, Oregon. Then in the mid-eighties, and continuing today, he began teaching others on how to use their cameras at that same college.
1987 saw the start of his photography business: Oregon Photo
Tours. This enterprise involves, not only taking individuals to different photographic locations around Oregon (and the western United States), instructing through in-the-field demonstrations and explanations so the participants could get the best possible images during their visit; but also designing, arranging, publicizing the photo tour/workshops.
As part of this publicity, he has had images published in Petersen's PHOTOgraphic (November '88 & December '88) and
Outdoor Photographer (May '89 & February '90) magazines. While this business has currently taken a backseat to other things in his life, who knows what the future might hold.
